Exhibitions and trade fairs experienced a very special year, when they were among the first to be completely closed and the strictest rules applied to them, when it came to short and partial release. The current weakening of the coronavirus epidemic in the Czech Republic in recent weeks has also brought news of the gradual opening of segments of the economy, sports or social life. And the first good news already concerns the trade fair sector.

Today, the blanket ban on trade fairs ends and the first regulations come into force, under which it is possible to organize exhibitions and fairs. So far, it is a matter of limiting the presence of one visitor to 15 sq m of indoor space, but even that is a good signal and a boost for all those who participate in the preparation of this year's events. "The fairs are being prepared many months in advance," says ABF Executive Director Mr. Martin František Přívětivý, adding: "Exhibitions will be started this year by the car exhibition AUTOSHOW PRAGUE on August 27. We believe that at that time the situation around coronavirus will be even better than today and that we will once again welcome satisfied visitors to the safe environment of the PVA EXPO PRAGUE exhibition center." Companies that traditionally exhibit in Letňany are similarly optimistic and bargaining is missing from most of them.

In 2019, the FOR CARAVAN Trade Fair entered already into its jubilee 10th edition. We together have undergone unbelievable development, from one filled exhibition hall in a simultaneous organisation with the FOR BIKES Trade Fair during its first edition, to all fully occupied halls at the Exhibition Centre together with the FOR BOAT Trade Fair. It was not an easy way, we have overcome long years of the economic crisis, which was especially difficult in this narrow sector, and now we can finally experience such development which we were only able to imagine some time ago.

We are very pleased to see that we can find something new every year at our trade fairs, which makes us think about the matter and we can prepare further surprises for the visitors. Whether the matter concerned the merger with the travellers’ festival known as AROUND THE WORLD under the leadership of Karel Wolf, a very popular retro exhibition of caravans or, for example, a giant swimming pool with an excellent accompanying programme, including a rest sand beach during the FOR BOAT event. It is also necessary to point out the beautiful exhibition expositions thanks to which we can compare our event with other European trade fairs, says Ing. Taťána Novotná, trade fair manager.

Czechs buy motor homes and plan their summer holidays in camps all over Europe. This was confirmed also by the great interest in the FOR CARAVAN Trade Fair, which was visited, from 8 to 10 March, by more than 34,000 people, which is a 15% increase in comparison to last year’s figures. The fact that many Czechs prefer adventure on four wheels to luxurious air package tours is confirmed also by results published by the Ministry of Transport. The sales volume of motor homes rose by 17.6 % in the Czech Republic in 2018.

From 8 to 10 March, the PVA EXPO PRAGUE Exhibition Centre belonged to the FOR CARAVAN and FOR BOAT Exhibitions. Altogether 202 firms presented their products and services on the area of 29,010 m². It was possible to see attractive expositions full of shiny motor homes, caravans and boats. The popular bazaar of caravans and boats or the unique exhibition of historical motor homes were not missing either. Great attention was paid also to the accompanying programme at the swimming pool, where visitors could try water sports or have a rest on the beach.

The FOR CARAVAN 2019 will run concurrently with the FOR BOAT 2019 trade fair! Almost 30 000 people visited  FOR CARAVAN and FOR BOAT fairs in 2018 during 3 days and saw the presentation of 200 exhibitors on the area of 29 051 m2 in 6 halls.

The success of the trade fairs FOR CARAVAN, FOR BOAT and FOR TRAVEL confirmes that the interest in the independent traveling, camping and water sports is still increasing. An exhibition of historic caravans organized by the Autoclub of the Czech Republic as well as the accompanying program co-organised with the Czech yacht association  in hall n.6  were of great interest.

From 10 to 12 March 2017 PVA EXPO PRAGUE hosted trade fairs FOR CARAVAN and FOR BOAT. Four halls were filled with novelties. Interest in motorhomes, caravans and boats confirmed the growing popularity of independent traveling and camping. During three days expositions of 129 companies were visited by a total of 24 213 visitors. There were signings, competitions or technology demonstration of this year's Dakar Rally equipment. Visitors could choose on fairs not only new cars and boats, but could also take some of the second-hand pieces.
